General Manager Claus Rasmussen has recently qualified as Divers Alert Network (DAN) Instructor Trainer for the Oxygen Provider and Neurological Assessment programs. He has also become an Instructor in the First Aid and AED programs.
Mermaids will run courses both on a monthly schedule and on demand for these programs.

All our boats have just been through service and are ready for the start of the High-season. Our logistical team has been working hard on improving our services and with most of our dive professionals certified as DAN Oxygen Providers the safety is reaching new heights.

The shop has been given a new coat of paint and we have moved stuff around making everything look a bit brighter. We are stocking up on the equipment again and have a new pricing-scheme making us one of the most competitively priced dive centers in Thailand.

Mermaids Dive Center has become part of ReefCheck.
We now offer the Reef Check Eco-Diver course for all divers that wish to get involved and begin making Coral Reef monitoring studies! The Reef Check Eco Diver course is designed to teach you everything you will need to know about how to conduct full scale Reef Check surveys. In this program you'll learn about the globally standardized Reef Check methodology as well as how to identify key indicator fish, invertebrates, substrates and different types of coral formation selected by Reef Check for global monitoring and coral reef conservation. The course is very in-depth and you will never look at the reefs in the same way again. The Eco Diver course will allow you to join the Reef Check monitoring team and assist in underwater surveys around the world. Navigate to ReefCheck for more.
